Bandelier National Monument features cliff dwellings and natural beauty, making it a must-see, at least if you're not here during the summer. (Summer crowds are reputed to be oppressive, and you're likely to encounter 1/2-hour waits for a parking spot or even park closures.) The trails let you explore some amazing ruins; be sure you pick up a trail guide in the visitor center before setting out.
