Back to the Playroom
Today Bob returned to the playroom, where he put up paneling on the
wall between the entry hall door and the kitchen opening. (This is the
wall we asked about a few days ago because we didn't have enough
paneling left to cover it. We decided to put in a built-in base
cabinet--down there where there's no paneling--with bookshelves above.)
 Notice
the varying colors in the paneling, which is a result of picking
these pieces from various places in the old walls. The greenish
hue is closer to the original color, but the finish reddened as
it was exposed to sunlight. Another year or two and these panels
will undoubtedly match the others in the room.

Bob also installed part of the trim around the kitchen opening, using
the same cherry wood that's being used in the kitchen cabinets.
